Jointly developed by the Ministry of Electronics and IT and IT Industry, the portal was launched by Union Minister for Electronics and IT, Law and Justice and Communications Ravi Shankar Prasad. It will be run by the National e-Governance Division of Ministry of Electronics and IT and NASSCOM from the IT industry.
TRAI wants to change your 10-digit phone number into 11-digit number
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is planning to make some big changes in the telecom sector of India. The regulatory body on Friday released recommendations for developing a “Unified Number Plan” to ensure adequate numbering resources for fixed line and mobile services. TRAI in the press statement says that these recommendations are based on the comments and inputs given by various stakeholders in the discussion held during OHD in January. However, migration to the unified number scheme involves large scale changes and is not recommended at this stage. One of the major recommendations mentioned in the release is changing the 10 digits to 11 digits for regular mobile numbers. The existing mobile numbers could have an additional zero and the new mobile numbers could start with a new digit in future. This change is expected to give a total capacity of 10 billion numbers.

Postponing G7 summit until September, says Donald Trump
US President Donald Trump said on Saturday he would postpone the Group of Seven summit that he wanted to hold in late June and expand the list of countries invited to include Australia, Russia, South Korea and India. Speaking to reporters on Air Force One during his return to Washington from Cape Canaveral in Florida, Trump said the G7 in its current format is a "very outdated group of countries."
"I'm postponing it because I don't feel that as a G7 it properly represents what's going on in the world," Trump said.

Railway Ministry has requested State Governments to ensure proper planning and coordination regarding Shramik Trains.The Ministry said, there have been several instances where the passengers have not been brought to the station and notified trains have been cancelled. It said, some of the States have also not been giving consent to the sending States, preventing transportation of a large number of migrant labour for those States.
