peaking exclusively to AIR News , NITI Aayog CEO, Amitabh Kant termed the financial stimulus and reforms under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan as pathbreaking. He said, the current government under the leadership of Narendra Modi has ushered in the sectoral reforms which were long pending. He added that the previous governments had no strong will to bring in the reforms, which were long due. He welcomed the announcement of relief packages by Finance Minister.

India has provided 30,000 Pathodetect COVID-19 Qualitative RT PCR Test Kits to Nepal. Ambassador of India to Nepal, Vinay Mohan Kwatra handed over test kits to Nepal’s Health and Population Minister, Bhanubhakta Dhakal in Kathmandu today. The consignment, as a gift from the people of India to people of Nepal, will enable Nepali Health Professionals to conduct PCR test on 30,000 people. Earlier on 22nd April, Ambassador Kwatra had handed over 23 tonnes of medicines to the Government of Nepal. Centre launches online dashboard to monitor movement of migrant workers
The Centre has asked the States to use online portal National Migrant Information System (NMIS) for capturing the information on movement of migrants and for better inter-State co-ordination. In a letter to the State Chief Secretaries, Union Home Secretary, Ajay Bhalla said that to capture the information regarding movement of migrants and facilitate the smooth movement of stranded persons across States, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has developed an online Dashboard- NMIS on the existing NDMA-GIS portal

Distribution of food grains to migrants under the Atma Nirbhir Bharat package has started in several states across the country. The Government had on Thursday, while announcement of the second tranche of relief measures for migrants, street vendors, farmers and middle income group citizens, said that around eight crore migrants who do not have ration card either from the Centre or State government will get five kilogram per person of wheat or rice and one kilogram of chana per family, free of cost, for the next two months. Delivery of food grains under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan scheme has already started by Food Corporation of India. 1109 MT rice was issued from Tamil Nadu and 151 MT from Kerala to the State Governments for further distribution to the eligible migrant labour. Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution has said that every arrangement has been made to deliver food grains under this scheme across the country.
Maharashtra govt extends lockdown till May 31
The Maharashtra government today extended the lockdown till May 31, 2020. According to a order issued by state chief secretary Ajoy Mehta, the lockdown will be in force till the midnight of May 31. It said the calibrated phase wise relaxation/ lifting of lockdown orders will be notified in the due course.
Gujarat Govt launches free food grains distribution
Gujarat Government has launched free food grains distribution to the 68.80 lakh families till today. Around 3.36 crore people will be covered under the scheme. AIR Ahmedabad correspondent reports that these families will also get an additional of 3.5 kilograms wheat and 1.5 kilograms rice per person and 1 kilograms pulses per family under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package.

PM CARES Fund allocates 3,100 cr to boost fight against Covid-19
The PM CARES Fund Trust on Wednesday decided to allocate 3,100 crore for fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and the amount will be used, among other things, to purchase ventilators and caring for migrant workers, the Prime Minister's Office said.
