Tamil Nadu is an Indian State well known as "The Land of Temples". Most of the largest Hindu Temples reside here and can be categorized as Temples of Sangam Age,Structural Temples of the Pandiyas,Cave Temples of the Pallavas and Great living Temples of the Cholas. Here the big temples are dedicated to Hindu God Lord Vinayagar, Lord Vishnu, Lord Murugan, Lord Siva, Lord Vishnu, Lord Anjaneyar and Lord Bhairava.6. Ramanathaswamy Temple, Rameswaram :
This is one of the twelve Jyothirlinga temples which is located on Rameswaram island of Tamil Nadu. The temple has the longest corridor among all Hindu temples in India and the outer set of corridors are longest in the world.
7. Panchamukha Anjaneyar Temple, Tiruvallur:
This famous temple has five facing mukham of Lord Hanuman. It is located in Thiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. There is also a 40 feet tall statue of Panchamukha Hanuman and the murti is made of a single green granite stone.
8. Uppiliappan Temple, Thirunageswaram:
Uppiliappan Temple is one of the most visited temples in the Kumbakonam Taluk. It is dedicated to Hindu god Vishnu. The temple complex of Uppiliappan contains all the shrines and water bodies associated with it.
This temple is one of the most famous Lord Shiva temple of south India. It is situated in this holy town of Kancheepuram. The temple has the largest temple in the town of Kanchipuram and one of the tallest gopurams in India.
Mondaicaud Bhagavathi Temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Parvati. It is located near Colachel at the coast of Kanyakumari. This temple is on the sea shore.
