The Government have called for panel of names of Advocates for filling up the post of Law Officers in Various District courts and Subordinate Courts in Chennai District on tenure basis. The details of Law Officer Posts are as follows:

- City Public Prosecutor

- Special Public Prosecutor (Civil)
- Special Public Prosecutor (TADA)
- Special Public Prosecutor (SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities)
- Special Public Prosecutor (Human Rights Act) and others.
Eligibility Criteria
For Public Prosecutor / Additional Public Prosecutor
- Must be an Advocate with not less than 7 years of practice.
For Special Public Prosecutor
- Must be an Advocate with not less than 10 years of practice.
How to Apply
Interested Advocates should:
- Download and fill the prescribed Application Forms (Annexure I & II).
- Submit 6 copies of the completed application.
- Attach two passport-size photographs.
- Send the application to the office of the District Collector, Chennai.
- Ensure the application reaches the office on or before 29.06.2026, 5:45 PM. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
