The District Monitoring Unit of Salem District is inviting applications for the position of Young Professional at the District Statistical Office. This is a temporary role with a consolidated monthly stipend of Rs. 50,000/-. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or Statistics to contribute to the district's administrative and monitoring activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Data Science and Statistics (4-year course).
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SPSS, R, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Prior work experience will be preferred.
Role and Responsibilities:
- As a Young Professional, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive research and analysis on various government schemes implemented in the district.
- Preparing reports, presentations, and policy briefs based on research findings.
- Collecting and analyzing data for district-level meetings and reviews.
- Assisting in the preparation of analytical reports for the District Collector.
- Participating in inspection teams during high-level visits, including those by the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister.
- Conducting sample studies on flagship programs and preparing progress reports.
Selection Process:
- The selection will be based on shortlisting followed by an interview.
