6. The state (Kerala) cabinet has approved the construction plan for Vizhinjam International Seaport. The foundation stone of the port project will be laid on December 5, 2015 by Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy . The state government had earlier signed the construction agreement of the Rs.7,525/-crore port project with Adani port and special economic zone ltd in August this year.
