The Taxation Laws (Second Amendment) Bill, 2016
- The Taxation Laws (Second Amendment) Bill, 2016 will come up for consideration and passage in Rajya Sabha today. The Bill, seeking to amend Income-tax Act, 1961 and the Finance Act, 2016 has been passed by the Lok Sabha.
The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Bill, 2014
- The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Bill, 2014 is also scheduled to be tabled in the Rajya Sabha. The bill will give effect to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, be taken into consideration. It will also enhance the reservation of Divyang from 4 percent to 5 percent in education and 3 to 4 percent in government jobs.
HIV and AIDS Prevention and Control Bill, 2014 and Employee's Compensation Amendment Bill, 2016
- HIV and AIDS Prevention and Control Bill, 2014 and the Employee's Compensation Amendment Bill, 2016 will be tabled in the Rajya Sabha.
