Latest News: G-20 Summits - Functions and Developments

• G20 was initiated in 1999 and consists of Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Republic of Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union (EU). The first G20 Leaders' Summit was held in 2008. In September 2009, the Pittsburgh Summit announced G20 as the premier forum for international economic cooperation, marking an important progress in global economic governance reform. The tenth Summit was held in Antalya ,Turkey in November, 2015. Engagement groups such as B20, L20, T20 also convene to prepare policy recommendations for the G20 Summit during the year.

2. 2009 London - G20 leaders met on 2 April 2009 in London, United Kingdom.
3. 2009 Pittsburgh - The G20 Leaders’ Summit was held from 24-25 September 2009 in Pittsburgh, United States of America.
4. 2010 Toronto - The G20 Leaders’ Summit was held from 26-27th June 2010 in Toronto, Canada.
5. 2010 Seoul - The G20 Leaders’ Summit was held from 10-11 November 2010 in Seoul，Republic of Korea.
6. 2011 Cannes - The G20 Leaders’ Summit was held from 3-4 November 2011 in Cannes, France.
7. 2012 Los Cabos - The G20 Leaders’ Summit was held from 18-19 June 2012 in Los Cabos, Mexico.
8. 2013 St Petersburg - The G20 Leaders’ Summit was held from 5-6 September 2013 in St Petersburg, Russia.
9. 2014 Brisbane - The G20 Leaders’ Summit was held on 15-16 November 2014 in Brisbane, Australia.
10. 2015 Istanbul - The G20 Leaders’ Summit was held on 15–16 November 2015 in Istanbul, Turkey.
11. 2016 Beijing - The G20 Leaders' summit was held on 4-5 September 2016 in Beijing, China.
12. 2017 Hamburg - The G20 Leaders' summit was held on 7-8 July 2017 in Hamburg, Germany.
13. 2018 Buenos Aires - The G20 Leaders' summit was held on 2018 in Argentina.
