ISRO - (Indian Space Research Organisation): Indian Space programme was launched in 1962 when the Indian National Committee for Space Research was formed. To this were added the Indian Space Research Organisation in 1969, and the Space Commission and Department of Space in 1972.

8. ISRO Inertial Systems Unit (IISU) - Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala
9. Master Control Facility - Hassan in Karnataka

11. National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA) - Hyderabad, Telangana
12. Laboratory for Electro-Optics Sustems (LEOS) - Bangalore
13. North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NE-SAC) - Umiam near Shillong in Meghalaya.
14. Regional Remote Sensing Service Centres (RRSSC) - Five RRSSC s have established by the DOS at Jodhpur, Bangalore, Kharagpur, Dehradun and Nagpur.
15. Semi- Conductor Laboratory (SCL) - Chandigarh.
